stupidest day of my life, signing the delivery of 5kg of fanfiction to my home. took almost three months of my life (I am. “busy”.) but I finally finished them (more detail on the design here)
I’m overwhelmed with holding them in my hands!!!! and thrilled with how they came out (except the text on the Lights spine…..gutter issues…over-saturation…….I am but a one-person amateur publishing house). Mostly I’m proud of how far things have improved from my first covers and how many sentimental details I packed in (the little + signs adding up to infinity are my favourite….)
feel free to dm me here or on twitter (or ? jurisffiction gmail) if you’d like the pdfs, I just don’t like to have the link up anywhere publicly!
and, obviously, thank you everyone for helping as I trudged through the mud to finish these with everything else on. labour of love etc

Y'ALL. SOMEONE JUST COMMENTED THAT MY MOTEL FIC JUST TURNED THEM ON TO WINTERHAWK.
WHAT.
they also said they would check my profile for more stuff like it, which is unfortunate because I’ve never written something intentionally funny before. So, naturally, a fic rec list is in order! Please, please add more because there’s no way my just-woke-up-brain is remembering all of the fics that have made me laugh out loud:
1. @captn-sara-holmes (stellar writer overall, I fall in love with her winterhawk every time). Try: “What do you mean, we left Clint on Mars?” (T, 25k)
2. @claraxbarton every. single. fic. is hilarious. I can’t pick just one, but she’s got a bunch of shorter fics, so you could literally pick any based on its summary and not be disappointed. AND IF PRESSED for one to start with, I guess I’ll go with: “Birdman” (T, 2k) or “Fingers Crossed” (T, 4.5k)
3. yamyamyam: also SO GOOD and SO FUNNY. I binged all of his winterhawk fics in one day and just about cried in laughter. You could start with “Not Carved in Stone” (E, 14k)
4. A recent no powers au I read that did a good job capturing their characterizations hilariously was “Punks and Poets” by @im-95-not-dead. I think I quoted about half of it back to them in a comment. (T, 6k)
5. @flawedamythyst one of the longest-standing (and long fic writing) authors of winterhawk, she’s a big part of how I learned who these characters really are. Even though humor isn’t probably the #1 goal of her writing (she’ll rip your heart out or entertain you with a good ole soulmates or mission fic any day of the week) I’d say humor is pretty dang pervasive and you’ll do a lot of smiling while reading.
6. I can’t not rec @sevdrag ’s “Nearsighted, Farsighted” because I’ll never think it has enough love – it’s a hilarious, wonderful, incredible criminal minds crossover, so if that’s something that interests you even a little bit, go for it!! (E, 58k)
okay okay okay those were some that I grabbed by frantically scanning my bookmarks, but please add more. We all need to laugh a little bit more, and these boyos are great at helping us do that.
What an amazing list of writers and what a great writer/fic to fall in love with Winterhawk in the first place!!!!!
